Catching up on Life, Garden Progress, & Fitness & Meals

The good thing is that these recaps will be a lot longer since I’m catching you up on multiple weeks! I can’t promise they’ll be in order, but I’ll try my best! Let’s get into it.
It had oats, vanilla plant-based protein powder, cinnamon, water, almond milk, blueberries, banana, and peanut butter. It was the best mid-morning breakfast after spending time on the Peloton. (add me on Peleton! @hellotaralynn)
While my dad was over helping Kyle with the garden beds, I made a giant turkey meatloaf, roasted potatoes, and a tossed salad for the family.
Pizza is one of my favorite foods. We’ve been making a healthier supreme pizza with oat and flax lavash bread. The pizza has sauce, mozzarella, sausage, ham, pepperoni, red onion, and bell peppers, and baked in the oven at 400 degrees for about ten minutes. I could eat this every single night! I always have mine with a side salad. I always look forward to having this for dinner, and it’s all I can think about when I’m on the Peloton in the evening. If I miss my morning workout or can’t fit a ride in during naps, I hop on around 5 pm when Kyle gets home.

I’ve been trying to make more inflammatory relief juices. I make a big batch on Monday and drink it all week long. Since strengthening my leg muscles, I’ve had less inflammation and pain around my knees.

This juice has ginger, apple cider vinegar, celery, cucumber, pineapple, lemon, apple, turmeric, carrots, cayenne, and oranges. It’s really good!

Traveling to New Jersey, Fall Farms, and The Weekly Meals!

The fireplace is on, the Christmas tree is lit, the sun is starting to rise, and it’s all foggy outside this morning. I love summer, but nothing beats these cozy mornings. I do need to get off this couch and get my son up and ready for school, but it’s hard to rip off this fuzzy throw blanket and start my day. I am a morning person, but the kind who likes to sit on the couch and work—not the kind who wants to get up off the couch and work.I have a lot to tackle around the house this week. We’re hosting Thanksgiving, so I’ll be busy getting everything ready for dinner, preparing for guests to stay, and, of course, blogging some new Thanksgiving recipes. My goal is to post a new recipe every day this week—if I can manage to stay awake past 8 PM! I made some really delicious recipes over the weekend, and cannot wait to share them with you all. But for now, I needed to get the latest recap blog posted; otherwise, it would run into Thanksgiving and end up longer than book three of the ACOTAR series.

Intimate Wedding Dinner at Greystone Inn Lake Toxaway

Today, I’m sharing photos from our intimate wedding dinner overlooking Lake Toxaway at the Greystone Inn. In my mind, it was exactly what I had dreamed it would be. Since it had been raining all day, the trees were extra green, the skies were purple, and fog hovered over the mountains. It was the most romantic spot! This wasn’t where we were initially going to have our dinner, but it was our backup plan since the rain decided to show up. But for a backup plan, it was surely beautiful!

What I planted in my spring garden beds 2024

I wanted to do a blog post to share everything I planted in my spring garden. I will have to update you in a few months when I take out my cut flowers, the tomatoes grow up the trellis, and I plant some of the fall seeds. The garden changes overnight with new blooms and growth. When planning my garden a few years ago, I loved looking at inspiration online, so I thought these photos could bring you a little garden inspiration if you plan on building something similar! Next year, I plan to double the garden beds for more produce and cut flowers.
