Luxury Living in My Philadelphia Apartment

Not only is the outdoor property of Presidential City beautiful, but the interior of the apartments is so stunning. Apartment sizes range from 1 BD, 2 BD, and 3 BD, with all different square footage options depending on what your needs are. Regardless of the size, all units have beautiful high ceilings, modern finishes, state-of-the-art kitchens/appliances, and spacious bathrooms. I absolutely love the open concept of each unit as it makes even smaller spaces feel really open! The owner’s architects of these buildings, Post Brothers, truly spared no details and everything is just beautiful.

There are 4 different buildings in the complex and each has different finishes, color schemes, and lobbies, so you can find the one that is perfect for you. Talk about options for all! For me, scheduling a tour really helped to narrow down what type of apartment I was looking for. You can do that here.

One thing that I absolutely fell in love with about Presidential City is just how many amenities and perks come from living in the complex. With so many other Philadelphia apartments, you always feel like you are lacking or missing something whether it be outdoor space, parking spots, access to a home gym, or any number of helpful amenities, but I promise Presidential City isn’t skimping on any of the above!

Let’s start with the place where I spend so much of my time; Sora Pool Club. The Sora Pool Club must have been created by god himself (lol) because it is a small slice of heaven. Located in the center of the complex, it is made up of a gym (equipped with a full fitness class schedule), spa (including a steam room, massage beds, etc), and a *massive* pool area with lounge beds, cabanas, outdoor grills, and hot tubs. Being at Sora literally makes you feel like you are at a resort in your very own backyard. I have spent many a summer day down by the pool, and honestly use this area all throughout the year to sit, work, or just relax outside.

  • Sora Pool Club
  • Sora Gym
  • Spa
  • Roof Deck
  • Parking lot + garage
  • Another thing that sold me was the location. Presidential City is insanely close (about 2-5) miles from so many amazing destinations like Manayunk, Fairmont Park, SubUrban Square, and only about 15 minutes from downtown Center City. I love that you have the luxury of the apartment complex (like parking and amazing amenities), but you are a stone’s throw away from so many city favorites.

Catching up on Life, Garden Progress, & Fitness & Meals

We just returned from a chilly walk. Bugs is napping, I have my coffee, and the fireplace is turned on. It’s the perfect opportunity to put my workout and chores on the back burner and sit down to catch you all up on life. These recaps are more of a monthly thing these days, but at least we’re doing them! I’ve been having so much fun cooking new things, baking sourdough bread, hitting fitness goals, organizing, and spending all the time I can with my son. In a month and a half, he’ll be one. This year has flown by quickly; every minute with him is important to me. Time truly is a thief.

3 Simple Ways to Make Your Self Care More Sustainable

Haircare, makeup, skincare… the list goes on and on. Have you ever looked in your bathroom and realized just how many personal care products you use every single day? For someone like me who loves trying new things, it is a lot haha. I always love to try the latest and greatest, but unfortunately, a lot of times this comes with a cost to the environment. With more products comes more packaging, and most of the time: more plastic. Single use plastics like these contribute to a lot of waste that ends up in the environment, the oceans, and our waterways, so i’ve been trying to be more conscious on how I can eliminate them when possible. At the beginning of the new year, I decided I really wanted to try to make as many sustainable changes as I could, and one of those started with personal care.
