What I planted in my spring garden beds 2024
I started my seeds back in February. The timing will depend on your region. Because I live in South Carolina, my spring comes a lot earlier than most. I also planted my tubers and bulbs. I usually get bulbs at local garden centers or online, but I decided to try out the Costco bags, which ended up AMAZING. Every single tuber and bulb bloomed incredibly. I cannot wait to invest in more of these for next year.
I never took the strawberries out of the beds last year, and they have been producing strawberries for the past few months.
I put my seeds in my front guest room, where the sun is hot, and they grew so well. I always joke that I could make that a greenhouse because plants do so well there in the winter. After a few months, my seedlings were ready to be transferred.
I walk outside with my coffee every morning to take out some overnight weed popups, flick off some critters, and check out the new growth. What can change overnight with plants is unbelievable, especially after a rainy night.
After a few months, my garden beds produced the most gorgeous cut flowers! I have ranunculus, daisies, roses, dahlias, lemon thyme, lavender, and zinnias!
