Lasagna Without Ricotta

Lasagna without ricotta is a delicious and creamy dish! This recipe uses mozzarella and Parmesan cheese to create a rich and flavorful lasagna that is sure to please everyone at the table. Great for family dinners, holiday gatherings, potlucks, and more!

Ingreadient

    • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
    • 1 onion (finely chopped)
    • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
    • 24 ounces marinara sauce
    • 1 tsp dried basil
    • 1 tsp dried oregano
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 9 cooked lasagna noodles
    • fresh herbs (optional garnish)

Step by step

    1. First, add the ground beef to a large skillet. Cook until brown and crumbly.
    2. Drain all but one tablespoon of the grease in the pan.
    3. Next, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until they become soft and translucent, stirring occasionally.
    4. Add in the marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
    5. Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes. Then, remove it from heat and set aside.
    6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    7. In a 9-inch by 13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
    8. Place three cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
    9. Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
    10. Repeat the layering process until you have reached the top of the pan. End with a layer of cheese on top.
    11. Cover the baking dish with tin foil.
    12. Bake for 25-30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
    13. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
    14. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired.
    15. Serve your easy lasagna without ricotta cheese and enjoy!
