
Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
These peanut butter rice krispie treats feature a crispy crunchy cereal layer and smooth chocolate topping! They are made with only six easy ingredients. Kids love them as an after school snack!

- 3 cups brown rice cereal
- ¾ cup all natural creamy peanut butter
- ⅓ cup honey
- Pinch sea salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp all natural creamy peanut butter
Step by step
- First, line an 8-inch by 8-inch pan with parchment paper. In a large microwave safe bowl, add the peanut butter and honey. Microwave in 10 second increments, stirring frequently, until melted.
- Stir in the sea salt and vanilla extract.
- Pour the rice cereal into a large mixing bowl. Then, pour the melted peanut butter mixture on top.
- Stir gently until completely coated.
- Add this mixture to the pan. Smooth into an even layer.
- Then, microwave the chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Stir until fully melted.
- Pour this chocolate mixture on top. Smooth into an even layer.
- Chill in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours, until set. Allow the bars to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
