Ingreadient
- 3 cans salmon
- ½ cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup onion (finely chopped )
- ¼ cup bell pepper (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Step by step
- In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Add the beaten eggs to the salmon mixture and mix until everything is well combined and evenly moistened.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about ¼ to ½ inch thick. You can make them smaller for sliders or larger for regular-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Flip them gently to avoid breaking.
- Once cooked, transfer the salmon patties to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Finally, serve the salmon patties warm with a side of homemade tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or your favorite dipping sauce.
