Blackberry breakfast smoothie
Quick and easy blackberry smoothie – the perfect start to the day.
Ingreadient
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
- 400ml almond milk
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp heaped porridge oats
- 150g blackberries
- 4 ice cubes
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
Step by step
- At least 2 hours ahead, or preferably the night before, put the sliced bananas in a plastic food bag, seal and freeze. When frozen, put the almond milk in an upright blender and stir in the chia seeds and oats. Leave to swell for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, including the banana, and whizz for 60 seconds, until smooth and thick. Divide between 2 glasses and drink straightaway.
