No pigs in blankets
An easy and tasty twist on the traditional Christmas trimming.
Ingreadient
- 1 Essential Carrot
- 1 tbsp Essential Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cooks’ Ingredients Smoked Paprika
- 2 sprig/s Cooks’ Ingredients Rosemary
- 2 pack Essential Cypriot Halloumi
Step by step
- Using a vegetable peeler, pare 16 long thin slices from 1 large carrot and put into a bowl.
- Using your hands, gently coat with 1 tbsp olive oil, some seasoning and 1 tsp smoked paprika.
- Finely chop 2 sprigs rosemary. Cut 2 packs halloumi into 8 sticks each, roll in the rosemary, then wrap each stick in a slice of carrot ‘bacon’.
- Roast on a large baking tray at 200ºC, gas mark 6 for about 20 minutes until golden.
