No pigs in blankets

An easy and tasty twist on the traditional Christmas trimming.

Ingreadient

    • 1 Essential Carrot
    • 1 tbsp Essential Olive Oil
    • 1 tsp Cooks’ Ingredients Smoked Paprika
    • 2 sprig/s Cooks’ Ingredients Rosemary
    • 2 pack Essential Cypriot Halloumi

Step by step

    1. Using a vegetable peeler, pare 16 long thin slices from 1 large carrot and put into a bowl.
    2. Using your hands, gently coat with 1 tbsp olive oil, some seasoning and 1 tsp smoked paprika.
    3. Finely chop 2 sprigs rosemary. Cut 2 packs halloumi into 8 sticks each, roll in the rosemary, then wrap each stick in a slice of carrot ‘bacon’.
    4. Roast on a large baking tray at 200ºC, gas mark 6 for about 20 minutes until golden.
