Soft egg with anchovy toasts
This quick and easy breakfast is simple, yet very effective. It's tasty, so feels like a treat despite being a healthy start to the day.
Ingreadient
- 1 Waitrose & Partners Free Range Omega 3 Rich Egg
- 35g slice Waitrose & Partners Mixed Olive Ficelle bread
- ¼ tsp unsalted butter, soft
- ¼ tsp anchovy paste
- chives, snipped, to serve
Step by step
- Bring a pan of water to the boil. Lower in the egg; reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, toast the bread. Mash the butter and anchovy paste together and spread over the hot toast. Sprinkle with chives and slice into soldiers. Serve alongside the egg.
