Luxury Living in My Philadelphia Apartment

For my friends who don’t know me well on here, I am born and raised in the Philadelphia area and truly love it so much. Philly is one of those special cities that makes everyone feel at home. It welcomes you with open arms, and makes you so prideful for your city, even if you are new to it! As they say, it is the city of brotherly love & sisterly affection. Since Philly has so many different neighborhoods, narrowing down where you want to live can be really hard. I spent a lot of time touring different areas, apartments, and buildings until I found a hidden gem that beat all of the rest. Cue: Presidential City.

The Perfect Weekend in New York City: What to See, Do, and Eat

As our girlfriend Taylor Swift once said: WELCOME TO NEW YORK, it’s been waiting for you. New York City is truly one of a kind when it comes to cities and is just as iconic and amazing as its reputation is. Here in Philly, we are only about two hours away from NYC and I grew up always going to the city to visit my aunt and uncle in Manhattan. Those are some of my favorite memories because I always remember feeling so at home in the city and *vowing* that I would live in the city one day myself (now in Philly, dreams come true!). The hustle and bustle, crowds of people, endless restaurants, charming boutiques, and just the overall vibe of it all is something you have to experience at least once. New York is truly like no other which is why all of the locals say: New York or nowhere.

5 Ways to Refresh your Bedroom for Summer

Ever want to refresh your space when a new season rolls around? Me and you both! New seasons call for new needs, vibes, etc, and there is no better way to make yourself feel inspired then by loving the space you’re in. This month, I decided to do a little Bedroom Refresh. Our bedrooms often tend to be one of those rooms that get a little neglected since we think of them mainly for sleeping, not for hanging out. Everyone needs a little retreat of their own though, so I encourage you to spend a little time updating your bedroom for summer! A little decluttering and a few seasonal touches can totally transform it into your own summer paradise and be a total mood booster every single day.

holidays with the family, dinner nights, & being a toddler mom

After a week of holiday celebrations, family staying at the house, everyone getting sick, and now my house needing a massive cleanup, I’m exhausted. Instead of using the time while my son is at school to clean, I’ve decided to just hop on the blog and get my weekly recap post up (oh, and I did a little Cyber Monday shopping!) Hopefully, he’ll be in a cleaning mood when he gets home. If he sees me cleaning or cooking, he almost always wants to join in.

3 Simple Ways to Make Your Self Care More Sustainable

Haircare, makeup, skincare… the list goes on and on. Have you ever looked in your bathroom and realized just how many personal care products you use every single day? For someone like me who loves trying new things, it is a lot haha. I always love to try the latest and greatest, but unfortunately, a lot of times this comes with a cost to the environment. With more products comes more packaging, and most of the time: more plastic. Single use plastics like these contribute to a lot of waste that ends up in the environment, the oceans, and our waterways, so i’ve been trying to be more conscious on how I can eliminate them when possible. At the beginning of the new year, I decided I really wanted to try to make as many sustainable changes as I could, and one of those started with personal care.

New website, who dis? My blog got a facelift!

HELLO FRIENDS. Today, I am coming to you live from a brand! new! site!! If you’re an OG and have been here for a while (or a new friend – HI!), you’ll know that I’ve been blogging for about 8 years now (wow I feel old saying that ha). Throughout those years, this website has always been my home and such a fun place for me to connect with you. Over time though, my page wasn’t inspiring me the way that it used to, so I decided I wanted a fresh new look for us all! I also figured my profile photo from 2012 could probably be changed by now haha. Like everything in life, it was time for a facelift LOL, and my blog got her very own makeover!

Our Cozy Thanksgiving Dinner with the Family | 2024

We had the coziest Thanksgiving dinner last night with family. Growing up, we always did dinner in the early afternoon, but it often felt so rushed—scrambling to get everything cooked and on the table. Then, after eating, we’d just sit around the rest of the day feeling stuffed. This year, I decided to switch things up with a candlelit dinner and gorgeous fall table decor. It was so much more relaxed, and I had so much fun styling the table for our family. I spent the whole day in the kitchen cooking with my brother, instead of rushing to prep everything the night before or early that morning. It ended up being such a fun, laid-back day doing what I love most—cooking and baking! I think I’ll stick to the dinner theme from now on! After dinner, we all sat around enjoying dessert and watching football games by the fireplace.

My Invisalign Journey (What you Need to Know!)

If you follow me over on Instagram (here), you’ll know that I’ve been undergoing the Invisalign journey for over a year now. As a kid, I always wanted braces. Yep, I was THAT kid lol. When so many of my friends complained about them, I really wanted to straighten my smile. When I went to the orthodontist however, they had different plans for me. They told my parents braces weren’t worth it since I didn’t have extreme problems, and they decided against them. Ever since then, I vowed to get Invisalign when I was older.

Traveling to New Jersey, Fall Farms, and The Weekly Meals!

The fireplace is on, the Christmas tree is lit, the sun is starting to rise, and it’s all foggy outside this morning. I love summer, but nothing beats these cozy mornings. I do need to get off this couch and get my son up and ready for school, but it’s hard to rip off this fuzzy throw blanket and start my day. I am a morning person, but the kind who likes to sit on the couch and work—not the kind who wants to get up off the couch and work.I have a lot to tackle around the house this week. We’re hosting Thanksgiving, so I’ll be busy getting everything ready for dinner, preparing for guests to stay, and, of course, blogging some new Thanksgiving recipes. My goal is to post a new recipe every day this week—if I can manage to stay awake past 8 PM! I made some really delicious recipes over the weekend, and cannot wait to share them with you all. But for now, I needed to get the latest recap blog posted; otherwise, it would run into Thanksgiving and end up longer than book three of the ACOTAR series.
