Read MoreA few nights ago, I headed out with one of my good friends to the Five Blossoms Farm for the Solstice Sip & Stroll. It was one of the most dreamy summer nights. I haven’t stopped thinking about everything from the most delicious chef-created pizza to picking fresh flowers from the fields while sipping wine.
Read MoreI just returned from Iowa a few days ago, and it was a trip filled with joy and sadness. The main reason for our visit was to see my grandma. Living 1,000 miles away from her makes it challenging to visit, especially as a mom. I wish I could go more often, but I’m incredibly grateful that my mom and I took the opportunity to travel together to spend time with her last week. It was such a special time, and I cherished every moment—having dinner with her, making her laugh, accidentally playing piano for her entire facility, and holding her hand as much as I could.
Read MoreI can’t believe my toddler actually cooperated and is down for his nap. The odds are never in my favor, and I typically only get him to sleep 1 out of 5 attempts. I’m almost done writing my next travel blog post, but I thought I’d get a quick recap up before it turns into a 3-week recap next time.
Read MoreI love to spoil my dogs. There’s nothing better when their tails are wagging, and they’re hopping all over the place. I’m always looking for the best ways to entertain them, keep them cool in the summer, and make my life as a dog mom a little easier (and cheaper.) I wanted to share a list of products I purchased on Amazon that I absolutely love and my dogs go wild for (ok, maybe not the grooming products.)
Read MoreI’ve been staring at this text box for a while, trying to find the words to say. It’s not the blog post I wanted to write, especially not this soon. I will keep this short because thinking about everything too long brings that lump in my throat. I try to go on about my day without thinking too hard and letting all the memories come to me naturally. Before I go on, I want you all to know how grateful and incredibly fortunate I feel to have so much love and prayers poured into me these past few days. I believe in the power of prayer, and I feel every bit of it while we try to heal.
